You hand the laptop to the person at the SAI Laptop Service counter in Electronic City. That person opens it and names the fault. The bench is a walk-in shop in Ganesh Complex, above the TVS showroom, opposite Infosys.
The first look
A cracked, dim, flickering, or black panel is inspected, and the screen is replaced when that is the fault. A swollen battery, a pack that dies early, or a pack that will not take a charge is replaced. Keys that stick, repeat, or stay dead are a keyboard job, including a spill on the key mat. A slow or failing hard drive is replaced with an SSD or a new drive. Heat through the palm rest, a loud fan, or a sudden shutdown is traced to the fan and heat sink. Pop-ups and locked files are treated by removing malware and cleaning the system.
Before any paid work
