When the fan will not settle
Loud fans, sudden shutdowns, and heat through the palm rest are traced to the fan and the heat sink, then that path is repaired. Heat is not assumed to be a new board. A cracked or flickering screen, a battery that swells or will not charge, keys that stick or stay dead, an SSD or a new drive for a slow disk, and a malware clean for pop-ups are judged separately.
