Laptop Running Slow? Expert Repair and Performance Solutions

All articles

A laptop that has become slow is not one fault. It can take a long time to reach the desktop. It can open one program and stall. It can roar, then crawl. Each of those is a different job. This page is how the counter separates them, and which repair belongs to each one.

The name of the fault is spoken at the counter, before any paid work. No charge is printed here. Dell, HP, Lenovo, Acer, ASUS, Apple, and MSI are opened in that room. Opening those lids is the daily work. It is not a certificate from the company that built the machine.

A slow laptop is not always this part. The bench says whether the drive is the cause.

What you can notice without opening the lid

Restart once. Then watch whether one program drags, or the whole machine does. Write that down in ordinary words. A full disk, a window you did not open, and a fan that never quiets are different notes. Bring the note with the laptop.

Do not open the case to look. Clips and cables break easily, and a broken clip becomes part of the job. Do not keep saving new work onto a disk that is already clicking. Switch that laptop off and carry it in.

A drive that is the slow part

A hard disk that clicks, a desktop that appears only after a long wait, or a file that opens only after a long pause can point at the drive. When the drive is the fault, the solution is an SSD or another hard disk. No size is printed on this page. The disk depends on the machine on the bench and on the quote you hear before anyone orders it.

If the files on the old disk matter, say so before the bottom cover comes off. Nothing here promises those files on the new disk. A longer note on that job is in an SSD or a new hard disk for a slow laptop.

Memory that is too short for the work

One program can be fine, and the laptop can still stall when several are open. RAM is one of the parts on the shop board, with the drive, the battery, and the keyboard. A short memory check is part of finding the cause. When memory is the fault, the solution is memory the machine accepts. The counter names that part before it is fitted.

A new stick does not repair a clicking disk, and it does not clean a browser full of windows you did not open.

Heat that makes the machine crawl

A laptop on a bed, a cushion, or inside a closed bag has nowhere to breathe. Set it on a hard table and see whether the work eases. If the fans still roar, the palm rest stays hot, and the same task that was quick in the morning now crawls, the solution is the fan and the heat sink.

Do not open the case to blow the fan. Dust on the outside of a vent can be wiped with the laptop off. Dust inside the fan is the bench's job. A machine that shuts down in the middle of that heat is not automatically a dead pack. The counter says which fault it found.

Software that grew heavy

Pop-up windows, a browser you did not open, and a laptop that grew heavy across a few weeks are handled by taking malware off and cleaning the system. Do not pay a window that says your files are locked.

A laptop that reaches a logo and then stops, or that returns to the same screen before the desktop, can need Windows installed fresh. That install is the solution when the system itself will not finish starting, or when you want to begin again. It does not drop a disk into the bay, and it does not add memory. Mention every fault you can see, so the quote lists each one.

A machine that stays fully dark, with no fan and no light, is a different problem. The checks for that are in why a laptop will not turn on.

Where the repair is named

The counter is at NO 35/1, NO 26, Ganesh Complex, Above TVS Showroom Main Road, Hosur Rd, opp. to Infosys Limited, Electronic City, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560100. You walk the laptop in. Nobody is sent to collect it from a flat or an office. Whoever lifts the cover should be the one who names the fault. That talk happens before any paid work. When the work is finished you take the same laptop home. The counter is open Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and Sunday, 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Call or WhatsApp 099724 47766. Describe what the laptop is doing in ordinary words, and ask for the quote before any paid work. The same faults, named one by one, are in common problems and expert solutions. The full list of work for this counter is on the services page.
